About Us

Aultsville Theatre

Aultsville Theatre is Cornwall’s Professional Community Theatre and Road House. Since 1976, Aultsville has played host to a full spectrum of the performing arts. From local artists to world class touring performers, audiences and artists alike appreciate the exceptional experience provided by this 680 seat performing arts space.

Located along the 401 corridor between Toronto and Montreal, Aultsville Theatre is a popular stop for professional touring artists. Cornwall’s close proximity to Akwesasne, Stormont, Dundas, and Glengarry, as well as Ottawa, Montreal, and northern New York state makes the city an ideal destination for audiences.

Aultsville Theatre is located on the campus of St. Lawrence College at 2 St. Lawrence Drive on the scenic St. Lawrence River.

Board of Directors

Aultsville Theatre is a non-profit charitable organization governed by a volunteer Board of Directors that manages the theatre as a non-profit, charitable organization.

Theatre rental revenue, plus ongoing fundraising programs ensure that the theatre remains viable, and that maintenance and refurbishment needs are met.

The Theatre’s Board of Directors welcomes your input and participation. If you have a passion for the ongoing development of the arts and culture in our community, and have time, skills, experience or other resources that you feel could benefit the Aultsville Theatre Board of Directors, we invite you to submit an application to our President.

FAQs

Why are there no coming events for July and August 2024 on your website?

The trend we see is that our local audience is drawn to outdoor events in the summer and therefore we use this time for renovations, staff holidays and to prepare for our upcoming season.

How do I learn more about Aultsville Theatre’s upcoming events and special offers?

Sign up for our newsletter and be among the first to know about upcoming events, presale offers, and Aultsville Theatre news. You can do so through our website or using the form available on the table.

Why are ticket fees charged on Aultsville Theatre Tickets?

Ticketpro is used by the City of Cornwall, and we are very happy to have them as a partner to offer Box Office services to our guests through the City of Cornwall locations. Ticketpro is a professional ticketing service, and charges smaller fees than competitors like Ticketmaster and we are very pleased with the customer service experience that they offer our guests and our box office team.

Do I have to pay for parking?

Aultsville Theatre is located on the Cornwall Campus of St. Lawrence College (SLC) and therefore our parking lot is monitored by SLC’s security and parking team.

Paid parking hours are 7:00am-8:30pm Monday through Friday.

To pay for parking, visitors must register with www.honkmobile.com and provide their license plate and payment information. There is no physical machine on site, and cash is not accepted.

Please note that St. Lawrence College has kindly agreed to not issue tickets after 6:00pm on the evening of a show, so paid parking would only be required if you are arriving before 6:00pm.

Parking is free on Saturday’s and Sundays.

I’ve got a complaint… who do I tell?

All feedback can be directed to gm@aultsvilletheatre.com (it’s the first email on the back of the business cards available for pickup.

When will we know more about the Fall/Winter season?

We have many confirmed bookings for the Fall/Winter 2024-2025 and look forward to making many announcements over the coming weeks. We suggest that you subscribe to our newsletter to be the first to know when announcements are made.

Why don’t you have bar services?

This is a complex question that we are actively looking for a solution to. We recently partnered with a local brewery for an event and hope to establish partnerships to bring this service to our guests. We are exploring a few options and appreciate your patience as we determine our best way forward.

Why is food and drink not allowed inside the Theatre?

Unfortunately, the cost of cleaning our velvet seats does not allow us to allow food and beverage in the Theatre. We do offer water bottles prior to the show and at intermission for $1/bottle and bottled water purchased onsite is permitted in the Theatre.
