Aultsville Theatre is a non-profit, charitable organization that is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, and managed by a full-time General Manager. With support from St. Lawrence College and the City of Cornwall, and on behalf of supporters of and advocates for arts and culture in Cornwall, the United Counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry, and Akwesasne, the purpose of the Board and Management is to ensure that the community may continue to enjoy arts, cultural, and educational programming in a full-service performing arts venue.

We need people to serve on our Board of Directors who have a commitment to their community and to the Arts. The board is responsible for setting the strategic direction, for governance and oversight of the theatre and for ensuring that the theatre remains a viable and crucial part of our community.

We are looking for people who have:

  • Passion for making a difference in our community
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Previous board or relevent related experience (but not required)

Skills and/or experience in any of the following would be an asset:

  • Marketing
  • Fundraising
  • Communication technology
  • Grant applications
  • Finance
  • Secretarial
  • Legal
  • Human Resource
